Multisol UK delighted to receive prestigious CBA industry award
Multisol UK was both delighted and honoured to receive the prestigious industry award ‘Responsible Care Award for Distributors with Operational Sites’, at last month’s annual celebration and awards ceremony, hosted by The Chemical Business Association (CBA).
To mark its milestone centenary anniversary, the CBA held the unique gala event on 23rd November, beneath the iconic superjet, Concorde, at Manchester’s Concorde Conference Centre. The evening marked a double celebration; as well as its 100-year anniversary, the CBA was also celebrating its 30th year of being part of the Responsible Care Programme, the voluntary global initiative that was developed as part of the chemical industry’s drive for continuous improvements in the sector’s health, safety, security, and environment performance.
For Multisol UK, the evening celebrations were particularly memorable as the company was honoured with the highly respected industry award, the Responsible Care Award for Distributors with Operational Sites. This accolade acknowledges Multisol UK’s dedication to safety, sustainability, and commitment to fostering responsible business practices, an important and integral element of the company’s ethos.
Multisol’s Irlam Site Manager, Darren Copson, was delighted with the announcement of the award, “Many congratulations to all! This is a very proud evening for Multisol. This Award is a testament to the whole team and to their continued commitment and dedication to ensuring our sites and practices are safe and responsible at all times.”
The CBA is the national body that represents the chemical supply chain in the UK, whilst also supporting business with compliance advice and workshops. The annual awards ceremony recognises and applauds the outstanding achievements of its members.
Responsible Care is a global initiative and the chemical industry’s commitment to continual improvement in health, safety, security and environmental performance. In the UK, Responsible Care covers the whole of the chemical supply chain – from manufacturers, through to distributors and logistics companies. Compliance with Responsible Care is mandatory for all CBA member companies involved in the trading, distribution, handling, movement and storage of chemicals.
